At last!

The week is finally over.  I had some really long days at work, along with fighting congestion and a scratchy throat and a migraine.  But I survived and I’m feeling much better now.

So, this fall seems to be the season of change for me.  Over the summer I got addicted to the show neat and I started working on purging a lot of my stuff.  (We won’t talk about how this lost some steam lately, and focus instead on the good)  In the meantime, I’ve also decided to start updating my look.  I’ve started watching the show What Not to Wear to get some fashion ideas (While I like the ultimate purpose of this show, I don’t think I could handle being on it.  I’d flip out as soon as they started making fun of how I dress, even if they’re completely right.).  I’m doing better, but I still need a lot of improvement in this area.  I just wish I could take someone with good style sense shopping with me, ya know?  Anyway, I’ve also decided I’m overdue for new hairstyle.

In college, I used to change my style at least once a year.  But I’ve had this current style for about six years now and I’m in a rut.  I want something that’s more contemporary, but still looks age-appropriate.  It’s pretty short, so I’ll need to grow it out to do anything with it.  But I’ve taken the first step and made an appointment with a woman that’s gotten some great reviews online about her ability to help people change their style.  My appointment is next Friday and I’d like to go in with some ideas for her about what I’d like.  This is where you come in…

I saved some styles that I like on thehairstyler.com.  The majority of these are similar, but there are a few different ones for variety.  Take a look and let me know what you think.  (Keep in mind that I couldn’t change the color on some of the styles, but I’m planning to stick with my reddish-brown color regardless of style)

What do you think?  Any you love?  Any you absolutely hate?  Do you dislike all of them and think I should start over?  I’m relying on the blogosphere for help on this one!

Onto a completely different topic, we somehow started talking about bathroom stall door graffiti.  An example my co-worker mentioned was someone writing Metallica on a stall door.  Then someone added beneath it “sucks.”  Someone then wrote “you suck – metallica rocks.”  And so on.  That’s when it hit me… graffiti on the bathroom stall doors is likely the originating point of blogs.  Someone posts a message and then people reply to it.  My boss then started explaining that there was actually graffiti in Roman times, historic England, etc., that is reminiscint of the bathroom stall graffiti.  Have I mentioned that I’m a dork and that I work with other dorks?

Hmm I think Classic 195. It also looks easy to maintain.

I think the bathroom stall thing is fascinating, yes I too am a dork. Bookstore people, library people we are cut from the same cloth!

I vote for the Lisa Rinna.

I would also like to point out that Terri is a science dork too. And now she is fired! LOL.

Okay, I really like the Lisa Rinna, but I also really, really like #339 – I think the color would be awesome with your coloring.

    Yay!
