I’ve been pretty boring this week. Work, Nyquil, work, more Nyquil… I think you get the picture. I’m feeling better, though, so I’ll hopefully have more to tell you this weekend. My hubby and I are hoping to make it to the Ostrich Festival, which should prove interesting.
While I was sick, I didn’t get to write the post I had planned to post. So, it’s lost it’s momentum, but here goes…
Remember when I had mentioned in one of my post-Stitches posts (say that 5 times fast) that I hadn’t purchased a single hank, skein, or ball of yarn? Well, you guys are even more gullible than I am. I might not have bought yarn, but I sure brought home a heckuva lot of fiber. Here’s the more colorful variety that I got.
From left to right we’ve got Merino/Tencel blend, Corriedale wool, superwash wool, merino, merino/tussah silk blend, and Colonial wool. I also got some camel, silk, cashmere (only an ounce, so don’t get too excited, although I did buy an ounce from Stitches a few years ago), and a few other types of fiber that are escaping me right now. These are all white/off-white/beige, so it’s not too exciting to look at in pictures. Oh! And I also bought silk hankies, which are colorful but I apparently forgot to photograh, so you’ll have to take my word for it.
I also bought some patterns and the book One Skein. I figured that this book would be good for the little amounts of yarn that I’m spinning. I can’t believe everyone believed that I would have enough self-control to leave Stitches without buying anything!
I’m off to hit the bottle… of Nyquil.
